Mediation has become an essential method for resolving workplace and business conflicts. These types of disputes often place heavy burden on well-being, performance, and business operations.
Mediation offers a highly effective, future-focused approach. In around 90% of cases, a sustainable solution is reached — often within just two to three sessions. Compared to legal proceedings, mediation is typically faster, more cost-effective, and less confrontational.
Unlike public court cases, mediation is completely confidential, allowing parties to speak more freely and work toward a constructive outcome.
Through mediation, people are encouraged to move forward together. Parties retain control over the process and the outcome — leading to solutions that are tailored and broadly supported by all parties involved. Unlike a court ruling, mediation does not produce “winners” and “losers,” but creates mutual understanding and agreement.
Stéfanie has over 12 years of experience as a labor law attorney. During her career in law, she became convinced of the power of mediation. Following many active years as a lawyer and a mediator, she decided to fully focus on mediation.
Stéfanie is approachable, solution-oriented, and a natural connector. You can expect a people-centered and results-driven approach from her. Parties appreciate her involvement, effective method, and her ability to create positive movement in difficult situations.
Stéfanie is an MfN-registered mediator and a certified confidential advisor. She is a member of the Dutch Association of Labor Mediators (VAN), the Dutch Association of Mediation Lawyers (NVVMA), and the Netherlands Mediation Association (NMV). Additionally, she is registered as a mediator with the District Courts of East Brabant and Gelderland.
Nynke worked for 20 years as a labor law attorney and legal advisor, while also serving as a mediator. Seeing firsthand that conflicts are often better resolved directly by the parties involved rather than through legal battles, she decided to fully focus on mediation.
Clients appreciate Nynke for the calm she brings to conflicts. With a positive attitude, she helps create movement in situations that seem stuck. Her approach is practical and proactive, and when needed, she takes a guiding role while always respecting the autonomy and interests of the parties.

The process starts with confidential individual intake meetings with each party to understand their perspectives and concerns.
Next, the parties come together for one or more joint sessions, guided by the mediator. During these meetings, the underlying issues are explored in a safe and confidential environment. Together, the parties explore possible solutions and negotiate to reach a practical and lasting agreement. Usually, two to three sessions are enough to find a resolution.
The outcome of the mediation is formalized in a written agreement that reflects the commitments made by both parties.
In addition to formal mediation, Forêt offers pre-mediation or conversation support — a low-threshold and informal way to guide discussions when a conflict may be brewing or tensions are starting to rise in the workplace.
Stéfanie van Creij is also a certified external confidential advisor on inappropriate behavior at the workplace.
She supports employees who are dealing with inappropriate conduct such as bullying, discrimination, (sexual) harassment, aggression, or integrity violations. As an external advisor, she offers a safe, independent point of contact outside the organization.
Stéfanie also facilitates intervision sessions for professionals in the legal field. Appointed by the Dutch Bar Association as a recognized moderator, she helps legal professionals reflect on their practice, share experiences, and grow through peer-to-peer dialogue.
